The EFAW programme is a 6 hour course of learning, designed to meet the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is suitable for nominated first aiders or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid course.
Delegates will receive a certificate valid for three years and during the course will be assessed by continuous observation of their practical skills.
This course will meet the requirements for provision of first aid in many low risk environments. Full advice can be obtained from HSE guidance where a risk based approach should be adopted.
Course Content
Role of the first aider
Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Bleeding
Shock
Choking
Seizures
First aid for minor injuries (including cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, scalds and splinters)
Practical scenarios and self-assessment
This course is available to be taught at your workplace if required.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
This is a comprehensive First Aid course providing training for emergency care and first aid for those who become sick and injured at work. This is an 18 hour course which can be delivered over three 6 hour sessions or two 6 hours sessions plus 6 hours pre course online learning at the delegates own pace.
The FAW course is designed to meet the requirements of The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

First Aid at Work
Paediatric and Early Years First Aid Blended Learning
This 12 hour blended Paediatric course, fulfils the criteria of the Ofsted Early Years First Aid qualification required for registration on the compulsory Ofsted Childcare Register. The course is suitable for anyone working with children including, Childminders, Child Carers, Parents and Play Scheme Leaders.
The 12 hour course consists of 6 hours online pre-learning and 6 hours practical training face to face.

Practical scenarios and self-assessment
This course is available to be taught at your workplace if required. We are able to offer split sessions (minimum of two hours per session) to accommodate school staff.
For courses with 10 or more delegates, we offer a complimentary choking workshop for lunchtime/breakfast/after school club staff.

Delegates will receive a certificate valid for three years and during the course will be assessed by continuous observation of their practical skills.

Our Basic Life Support first aid programme is a 3 hour course designed to teach lifesaving emergency skills to any member of the public or organisation in which people may need to respond to a life threatening emergency.
